Did you know that plastic scraps from the industry can turn into hope?

When I saw waste being transformed into raw material at the recycling factory, I could hardly imagine that the same material could also become something so human and symbolic.
Recycled polyethylene resin can become handmade breast prosthetics for women who have undergone mastectomy.
Each prosthesis is handmade with empathy, and purpose, turning into more than just a comfort item: it helps rebuild self-esteem, restores confidence, and marks the beginning of a new chapter.

This union of sustainability and solidarity demonstrates that small gestures can profoundly impact the lives of those facing breast cancer
Watch the video and see how care can be sewn with hands and love.
Ps.: This was the first time I came into contact with the work of the “Liga Feminia Combate ao Câncer”. Little did I know that shortly after, I would be sewing these prostheses with my own hands.
