Recently, I experienced one of the most significant days of my journey: I volunteered
with the “Liga Femina Combate ao Câncer”, a local organization led by incredibly strong women who provide support to cancer patients, especially those facing breast cancer, in my hometown in Brazil.
It was a simple day, but impactful and full of meaning.
Starting the day with some love.

My morning began in my kitchen, where I baked homemade cookies to take it to the hospital. Along with them, we printed out the recipe and handwritten cards that said:
'You are strong. You are loved.' I wanted each cookie to carry a bit of love, serving as a quiet reminder that these women are special.
Offering gentle support
Together with other volunteers, we went to Bruno Born Hospital to visit patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment. It was my first time face-to-face with people living with cancer and I met patients of all ages and at different stages of their journey. Some patients were tired, while others were open to chatting.

I couldn’t help but feel emotional. Each cancer patients carried a story. I realized that what comforts people the most isn’t what you say, but how you make others feel.
Sometimes, all we need is a kind glance or a gentle gesture. In that moment, amidst smiles and silence, the message was clear: 'You matter. And we're here for you.
